Building homes for Oxford
We build high-quality, sustainable homes that people in Oxford can afford to buy or rent.
Oxford needs more homes, and Oxford City Council is committed to delivering them. That’s why OX Place was set up in 2016 as the Council’s housing company.
We focus on creating high-quality, affordable homes for local people. Any profits are reinvested back into the city supporting local services and funding more homes where they’re needed most.
What we do
Build homes
people can afford
We create homes for sale, shared ownership, and affordable / social rent across Oxford.
Support local
communities
Our homes are designed for the people who live and work in Oxford, including key workers.
Reinvest in
the city
Any profit is invested back into local services and building more homes.
Our values
Quality
We aim for high standards in everything we build
Fairness
We work in an open,
honest, and inclusive way
Responsibility
We take ownership of
what we do and how we do it
People first
We design around the needs of
our customers and communities
We do things differently.
As part of Oxford City Council, we take a long term approach, reinvesting profits into local services and building more genuinely affordable homes. By focusing on brownfield sites and high-quality, sustainable design, we’re proving that better homes for Oxford are possible.
A different way to buy
Shared ownership lets you buy a share of your home and pay rent on the rest. Over time, you can buy more of it, and sometimes own it outright.
